At EcoPlan we understand that making the right choice from a list of attractive options can be the most difficult step in a planning process. EcoPlan provides specific support for prioritization and trade-off analysis to help make prioritization easier to understand and work through. We work with a range of tools, such as pairwise comparison and multi-attribute models, to break decisions down into manageable parts and provide a constructive framework for dialogue and deliberation. This is critical for identifying the crux of decisions, the fundamental issues and trade-offs, and to focus conversations on the things that matter.

Being able to prioritize effectively – in a way that best addresses common interests within available resources, is flexible over time, and is easily communicated to the people that need to be engaged, informed and on-board – often makes the difference between good ideas and action that is truly effective.
