Dr. Jeffrey Writer
Environmental Scientist
Jeff has over 20 years of experience in environmental research and consulting as an engineer, hydrologist and geochemist. He has broad based experience in understanding water and human health related issues, and the use of appropriate technology. He has evaluated projects in Argentina, Ecuador, and Guatemala, Venezuela and the United States. He has successfully linked technical issues with community education programs and has environmental training experience. Mr. Writer has extensive experience applying field-monitoring techniques such as bacteriological indicators, immunoassay analyses, and colorimetric methods to extract site specific values of contaminants from remote locations. He has used these techniques to provide accurate and cost-effective quantifications of environmental contaminants and their effect on human and ecosystem health. Jeff is also is working with the USGS as a hydrologist and geochemist and is teaching at the University of Colorado.
