Julian brings a background in resource management, community economic development, decision analysis, and community engagement to his work as a community planner. In addition to his professional work with EcoPlan, Julian is currently pursuing a Ph.D. at UBC, researching leadership and educational approaches that can support individuals and societies to better learn, change and adapt to the sustainability challenges that we collectively face. Julian completed a master’s degree at UBC exploring the dynamics of human development and societal learning in the context of local sustainability strategies, as well as an undergraduate degree in engineering from the Instituto Tecnologico de Buenos Aires in Argentina. His work experience has ranged from industrial engineering and information technology research and development to sustainability planning and community development.
